Anyone else only able to remote start their vehicle 2 times? if so, does anyone know if the dealer can reprogram the unit to remote start as many times as i want or adjust the run time of the remote start? The 15 minutes that the vehicle runs for isnt enough for the coolant to get hot enough for me to have heat.

 

i think that's a safety precaution if it's a GM remote start unit. You have to use the key to cycle the transimission after using the remote start twice. I'm sure they could reprogram for a longer run time.

 

sounds like that may be a design feature. have you got a block heater?

 

I noticed in the real cold and the car at idle the coolant would only get to like 60 deg stay there .
I think it would be worse with it in defrost because i think the fan turns on.

 

its an anti theft feature and as far as i know you cannot change the amount of times you can remote start. atleast you can't with the tech 2
