Reverse gear slipping / not engaging

on occasion, not 100% of the time when i engage reverse , it will either slip and i can hear the flywheel / clutch plate kinda drag, or it will grind into reverse almost like i never pushed on clutch at all. again this doesnt happen every time and only fix i have found so far is put it in 1st, inch up then go back into reverse... any ideas?

Well, seeing as you'll never miss reverse like you do 3rd I'd say your cables are stretched, or need adjusting.

if you just jacm the clutch in and throw it in reverse it will grind because the tranny is still spinning and reverse isnt syncrod, i usually put it in 3rd then reverse, sometime it wont go into reverse so i let the car roll a bit then it slides in

shitty tranny is shitty
