roll pin issue

gm replaced my roll pin after ~33,000 miles.. now it just broke again at 38,000. i pulled out one piece but for the life of me cannot get the rest of it out. is there any tricks or anything that could be done to get it out?

after i pulled the broken piece out its only ~1/4 inch of pin i felt my shifter and all the gears seem solid suprisingly though i dont want to 1/2 ass it lol

You can buy a steel pin or something from somewhere. I actually need to get one myself but don't know the size or anything of it. The brass one from GM is a POS!

i have a roll pin but its just a cheap one from ace hardware. 1'' by 3/16's but it has a slot goin down the whole pin so im not sure if its going to work or not. but regradless. i cant get the old one out lol

so i thought it would hold since i still havent figured out how to get it out.. took it for a quick drive down the street.. worked great then out of nowhere i lost all my gears except for 1st.. at least i wasnt far from home so i cruised at 4500 - 5500 rpm the whole way home lol.

any input would be great. thanks.

nevermind... found out the problem.. pin was in 3 pieces.... go figure. couldnt push it out no matter what. lol
