Hey, I'm new to the forums and I have a few questions. I have a 06 Cobalt SS/SC and just got Stage 2 put on with te Catback Exhaust and manifold. I was driving it around for a while after I got my car back, was on my way home and the check engine light/CEL came on. I took it to the dealer today and he said that it came on because it was running rich. What could be causing that?

 

the stage 2 tune has known to make some cars run rich...just get an intake and it should be fine...

 

he's the tech... shouldn't he have figured it out? Chances are it's in the tune. Seems there are alot of cases of cobalts throwing rich/lean codes after installing stage 2

 

Well I can't get it back in until Monday They guy said he was going to spend the whole day on it then and get it to run right. I guess I'll have to wait and see...

 

stage 2 have a high tendency of making some cars throw CEL's for running to rich or to lean just buy and CAI or a 2.9 pulley and youll be good
