Shakey
Bring it back where you had the work done !
And dont payto have it repaired.
If the machined the rotors instead of replacing they probably warped already. All it takes is one good stop on the highway.

well the shaking was happening before i got new breaks and roters and after a week or two its started shaking again....and when i push on my breaks i can feel it in the steering wheel and it drives me crazy
well i took my car to the dealer to get brakes and all that ****...should i get someone who knows what they are doing to put the breaks and roters in or go back to the dealer...the dealer sucks in my opinion!
Ive had rotor out of the box with a Hard spot in them before. When I inspected them could almost see the chunk right in the rotor.
Still could be a front end problem,(steering rack) etc.
My money is on the rotors or the calipers are causing the problem(did the installer torque the lugs or just use the impact gun )

Had the same problem. Rotors warped at about 3,000 miles, had them resurfaced, obviously did no good. Had GMPP rotors put on.....warped again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from GM parts when it comes to the brakes.
Warped rotors are the most likely culprit, but you said you noticed the shaking before as well?
For ***** and giggles, have you checked all your wheels to make sure the lugs are torqued properly and make sure you don't have any stripped/broken studs or lugs?

Not only that but that sort of thing needs to be checked every so often anywho.
Did the problem go away AT ALL when you got the new brakes put on????? Your previous posts make it sound like it went a week or two with no problems or at least an improvement and then it went back to shaking as bad as it did before. Do you know about how many miles before the problem went back to the way it was before?
Only reason I'm asking all these questions is for the problem to stick around for so long and not improve for at least a little while, it sounds like MAYBE there's something else going on. As Debbie pointed out, new rotors WILL warp from time to time, but if you only put a couple hundred miles on them you should keep other things in mind in case the problem isn't a manufacturer's defect. Do you notice the calipers sticking at all?
yea i was thinking about getting a 2008 altima coupe...and trading my cobalt in but i decided to keep the cobalt and pimp it out!! but im not sure if im making the right choice
well for the first year i had the car everything was ok...but then it started shaking when i stoped so i got new brakes blah blah and it was fine for maybe a month then it started shaking again...i got a guy who lowered my car for me hes going to check it out for me...he said hes gonna put new brakes and rotors (NOT GM!!) in for me...

Just keep an eye on it, make sure he cleans off everything and for good measure, you might want to do a fluid flush while you're at it. I know I did everything but the cleaning and MAN I'm paying for it now with noisy brakes.
Also, have him make sure everything on the calipers looks good, that's where most of my brake problems have come from.
