So took off for work this morning, gas was at a bit less than half a tank, nothing seemed odd, got on the highway, was about to overtake some slowpoke in the fast lane when the yellow light came on. Lock icon? Saw the guages were all down and an 18wheeler coming up in my rear view. Tried to get her turned on again, flashed low fuel & power steering and wouldn't come back. Pulled off on the shoulder...
Battery seems okay.emergency lights and power windows working ok for now. No odd smells...just replaced alternator with brand new one a couple months back...any ideas?

 

that sounds like what happens when your flashing the pcm everything does a relearn ...

more details on the car would help

 

Simple 2006 cobalt ss. Stage 1 I believe. That's it. Lights are dead so I'm suspecting may need a new battery in addition to any other issues there might be.

 

Immobilizer? Bro in laws truck had immobilizer issues and everything worked but it wouldn't start,

Did u check if the belt is still on there?

 

Belts seem good. Busted one a few months back as well. Getting ready to make the last payment on this thing. Nxt week -__-

 

battery sounds like it, when my battery died on a pull it threw a crank sensor code or something. didnt even think it was the battery

had the car sitting with the hazards on and everything just died. got a battery and it was back to normal
