I am having a problem with passing a smog test to get a ticket written off by a state referee... I wanted to know if i get another resonator/cat welded in my stock exhaust if it will improve my a/f ratio enough to pass...

If you need another Cat because it wont pass emissions it will be covered under warranty by the dealer.
Theres like a 8 year 100,000 mile warranty on those,unless they deny you because of mods.
Read the warranty part in your manual

 

no my stage kit wont pass... will getting another cat help?

 

Hard to say for sure .Ive been told a new cat will help pass it if you test the car right away after installing it
What are you failing on high NO2 or hydro carbon.
If your failing on NO2 you tune might be to lean and your cylinder temp is running way to hot causing
NO2.(Check your plug after a good run should be tan colored if they are white and worse shiny white you are to lean and need to retune to pass the emissions)
Failing on Hydrocarbon and you are burning oil or way to rich (black or blue smoke when you punch it).


Post the numbers from the test for the pass levels and what your actual numbers were for the test for both hydr and NO2.

They didnt deny for uncompleted drive cycles did they,erasing code and disconnecting the battery will erase these.

 

are you sure you gave them the CARB EO# from the stage kit?
