hey 2.4 w/ a manual here....after i stall out (yeah still do that from time to time) i go to restart the car and it has a hard time starting up and sometimes it sputters a little bit...smooths right out afterwards

 

I don't know about sputtering, but when i was trying to teach my fiancee to drive a stick last weekend sometimes I'd have to turn the ignition all the way off and then back on.
Probably something to do with the fuel pump/lines if I had to guess..? Mine didn't stutter, but either way you'd be priming the system..

 

Yeah... it's all to do with the fuel pump... if you turn the key all the way to off it'll refire the fuel pump when you start it up. Otherwise it takes a min to crank.

 

ok so next time i should turn the car all the way off first and then restart and it shouldnt happen??

 

i did a 360 the other day and stalled and it took about 7-8 tries to restart it

 

so i stalled out on purpose last night and tried turning the car all the way off and lo and behold it works!! no sputtering or hard cranking...thanks!!
