Angry ss/sc screwed up

stock with just a k&n, 7500 miles, my car is fucked. clutch bounces and slips horribly into 2nd, and my engine is steadily dripping oil from somewhere on the bottom end of the engine, seemingly near the starter and bellhousing. i dont know happened but its just falling apart. oh yeah i also get the infamous p0171 dtc from the k&n. i know the clutch is a common ailment for the ss/sc but an oil leak? what the hell. as much fun as it was when i bought it, ive really grown to hate this car

It sounds like a rear main seal may have gone and is getting oil on the clutch, hence why the clutch is slipping and oil is coming from that area.

SOLD! to 05BlackCobaltSS for $500 and the hooker
after getting it on the lift, i see that its the tranny gasket that has separated (two piece transmission case) and is spewing fluid across my bottom end. its still bad news but not nearly as bad as the head gasekt or rear main seal as i thought. i get to see how bad 2nd gear is chewed up tomorrow when we remove the trans and disassemble it. also will see if the clutch / flywheel is fubar.

i guess its not that hard to believe. i do wheel hop alot and generally beat the **** out of it

Sicklyscott is also right. the rear main seal is shot. so its gonna need a new seal and block plug too what the hell could have caused this **** to fail?

Threads like this scare me, I have a hard time remembering that this isn't my 02 SS that I could beat the crap out of. It's a little car that won't hold up after too much abuse.

it does look like they are going to warrenty the rear main seal, block plug, and tranny gasket. however the verdict is still out on the clutch. they seem to think fixing the aforementioned problems may solve the slipping, and if not, then i'll have to see about getting the clutch done under warrenty.

ya i drive my car hard. if you arent breaking ****, you arent driving hard enough

Yea, that's a good motto, if either you have a cool dealer or if you've got money!
