Started my balt with a dodge van key
So my uncle and i went on a road trip. And I let my uncle drive my car for a bit. After going about 10km he said that the lock light was flashing on the dash. So we pulled over to see what was going on. Turned the car on and off a few times. Still came on. So i told him to take out the keys. And what did i see, my work van key was in the ignition.
How the heck would that work? What should I do? Take it to the dealership? Anyone else ever hear of this?
BTW the key wont work in the doors but works in the ignition.
Thanks,

So I started it today again with the van key, with my car keys no where near the car and it did the exact same thing. Started fine and drove it around the block and was fine. The only difference was this time the lock light on the dash didn't flash it just stayed lit up.
According to the manual the lights and horn are supposed to go off in 60 seconds but they didn't.
I should point out that the cut on both keys are nearly the same except the grooves or lips of the keys are backwards

reminds me of a 280ZX I had, its key would start my 85 300ZX and my 88 Maxima but their keys wouldn't work on it. My little bro bought the 280 from me and the little bastard would move the 300ZX and the Maxima around to mess with me
