SS SC engine knock at idle?

hey guys, i have an 06 ss sc with 30k and it seems to sometimes, not all the time, have a slight engine knock sound at idle, it only does it every once in a while. I just got my oil changed and i am using a semi synthetic very expensive 7000 mile oil. i was wondering if it could be the oil. also i always run 93 octane. i was wondering if any other part would make such a noise but it seems to come from under the hood. thanks alot

unless you are monitoring the car with HPtuners or something its hard to say if it's "knock"

These engines are pretty loud too. so it could be normal.

Dealer?

as long as it's still under 100k your drivetrain warranty should be in tact unless the previous got it revoked.

just set up an appointment with your local chevy dealer's service department . The 06's have a 6 year 60000 mile powertrain warranty. 07 and newer have a 5year 100.000 powertrain warranty.

just cause its a very expensive oil doesn't mean its any good....put in a FULL synthetic like it states on the oil cap (mobile 1 5w-30 or equivelant)....try that..and if your useing 93 octane i doubt its actually knocking...take it in to dealership? you should have warranty left i believe?
