starting delay

Cobalt always starts and runs good but takes like 8 seconds of turning over to start...much longer than a normal start. didn't do this when I first got it. 62,00miles 2006 ss/sc, thanks for the help!

Check if ir fuel pump is leaking. Thats what my car did when mine sarted leaking. GM just made that a recall for 07 models and up. U'll see some dripping under the car from the gas tank area if it is leaking

Bahahha. E85....I'm sure he would have know he was getting into issues.

Have you done anything to the car recently? Mods? Change filter/plugs?

If you're plugs have over 20k miles on them, I'd change them first and then see how it goes.

What mods do you have if any?

He does'nt know wat E85 is.. Im sure he is'nt modding his car to much. Not that thats a bad thing OP. i'd start by looking for a fuel leak.

As said earlier, check to make sure you have no leaks around your fuel pump. Mine took forever to start when my pump housing cracked.

I had this exact same thing. My car would crankcrankcrankcrankcrank start.

I had the fuel pump leaking. It was loosing its fuel prime. Dealership fixed it free of charge
