Steering column help

So my 09 SS/TC needs a new column, with the power steering motor and control module, and intermediate shaft. Got the intermediate shaft, but the column kit (includes the motor and module) is now discontinued and I cannot find it anywhere online. Would the HHR LNF steering column work? Or could I use the non active braking column? What's everyone doing to fix this nowadays? I've been out of the cobalt game for about 4 years and just bought this 09.

Hey:

Looks like I am somewhat local to you and just wanted to say hi, but sorry I am not sure about that. I do see the non active braking version available.

Ya I'm wondering if it would work and just not give me stability control. And Layton is my hometown. Haven't lived in Utah in years.

You need a column with the active braking. It is a different casted housing that has revisions for the steering wheel angle sensor for the active braking.

I'm looking into this as well for my Dad's car. From what we've been told, the HHR unit is too large.

Hook us up, Royce!
