Steering shaft vibration and noise question
I am fed up with the wheel turning right at low speeds of 3-5mph and it makes a whine sound and then a clack sound soon after.
It used to be just a hesitation/ vibration.
Now it is that joined up by those sounds.
It happens more consistantly now.
I read here that the problem is the steering shaft not being lubricated well.
Has anyone had this problem, then sent their car in to get the steering shaft lubed and have this problem go away?
Thanks in advance...

i had this problem and still do. i had it fixed under warrenty. They basically pull the intermediate shaft out, lub and reinstall. The noise comes back after about 1000 or 2000 mi. just enough so you are out of warrenty and they dont want to work on it again end rant.....lol
but seriously they will do it at the stealership....just tell them that you have seen the tsb
