Stiff steering after tie rod replacement?

Someone slid into my driver side, front wheel area. among some cosmetic damage, my tie rod was bent. thats all the mechanic said they fixed other than cosmetic stuff around the wheel i do believe. i just got it back today and the steering seems stiff and the wheel doesnt return to center on its own. any help here, ive read into it a little and have an idea but i wanted to ask here and not go ahead and say what ive read so it didnt just become the only option to anyone...

Does the car drive straight? Something in the rack could have gotten screwed up.

I take it their insurance covered everything?
Take it back its not fixed. Not your problem imo, you get a handy rental till your car is in the condition it was in before

yeah the car drives straight, i know the alignment was done. what ive looked into i may just need to have the steering angles reset by a tech 2 and that could take care of it? or a couple other things..just seeing what people thought on here first because i cant do anything about it until monday when insurance company and the collision place are back open. but yes the other guys insurance company has taken care of it and i had a rental car...just sucks wasting my time having to deal with it all!
