you could have saved ur self the trouble by taking fabric softener sheets and placed them in ur glove compartment and all around the inside of ur car put a few under the hood of ur car... so not only would ur car smell good but mice and other rodents hate the smell of it.. .

hes either the victim of ONE SICK prank or its completely random.

ive heard of stuff like this, for instance, we soaked a friends intake filter in fouldy fish water and a bunch of other smelly stuff for 2 days. it got real nasty.

we also filled the heater vents with flower on a cold night , you can imaginewhat happen the next morning when he got into his cold carand turned up the heat.

That is freaking strange! I actually just replaced my filter. 19,000 miles and mine was nasty. I wasn't getting very good air flow or heat at all.

Warranty probably won't cover that. If they do, they are being nice to you. You'll probably have to spring for the parts.

If you work on other peoples cars a lot, you see this quite a bit- it's pretty common actually. Rodents LOVE kibble and like to nest in the "warmer" parts of car. Unfortunatly sometimes it gets TOO WARM. Hope you can find the rest of him! (and the rest of the family?)

HOWEVER, all kidding aside...
Due to the presence of droppings and significant risk of the airborne transmission of Hanta virus, you should have the HVAC housing professionally cleaned, sanitized and deodorized. There are products specifically for this purpose.
Your dealer can help. No it wont be warranty (unless they choose to "Goodwill" it)

Yep, if you find the dog food you will also find a mouse. It does happen alot, in fact i've seen it twice. They have an expanding foam cleaner to clean the evap box.

Yes you are correct, This is a pretty comman problem that I do se a lot at my work. And sometimes the smells are so horrible. But I like to play tricks on people and put them in the car, lift them up on my lift, tell them to turn the car on and put the blower on high. Its the funniest thing when they are yelling to get down. But yeah you should bring it somewhere where they can clean it out good
