Those of you that have a Hurst STS...

I installed mine last august, and I have yet to correct this problem with it, but the shifter moves back in fourth. If I put my hand on it I can turn the shifter to the left and then it stops and then it turns back.

Did anyone else have this problem? and if so how do you correct it?

yes i had this problem, the black set screw that it comes with is ****. i went to the hardware store bought a better set screw, and i drilled a bit into the actual shifter so the screw could go in deeper, then i used lock tite and never had the problem again.

a better set screw solves the issue... you dont even have to drill the shaft, really

yeah everyone has the problems... its the cheap allen wrench type screw.. if u get a normal screw and use it you should have no problems... i personaly would drill a tad bit into the shifter so it does not move ever but thats just me... Good luck

Has anyone found a shift knob alternative for this setup? Between the below freezing winters and the 90* plus summers that shift knob can get a little unbearable!

Interested to see if anyone has found a shift knob alternative yet... this knob is horrendous here in AZ (and it's only 95, got another 20 to go)! Best solution I've found is one of the guys on here uses a knit shift knob cover. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/sout...-knobs-247109/
