Throttle response is horrible

I have a 06 cobalt ss/sc and today my throttle response was horrible. RPMs would go up but i wouldnt barely go anywhere. almost feels like transmission is slipping but i was told it wasnt the tranny. Anyone ever had this issue , if so what is the problem and how do i fix it?!

If you push the pedal down, the RPMs go up and the car doesn't go faster.
