TPMS sensor

I was driving down the road today then I heard a dinging.

and it said "SVC TIRE MONITOR" I know it's the TPMS sensor on the left front tire...

my question is does putting the TPMS sensore in aftermarket tires shorten the life of them or something?

the car is like 4 months old and heve been in the new rims going on 3 months now without a problem.

could there be a piece of debris or moisture in there causing it to act up? cuz I just washed the car like 30 minutes before it went out... I really don't feel like buying another sensor lol

Can't see it being related to washing the car....gonna be a pretty big hole to let water in Some for debris, unless something got in there when the tires got mounted.

I believe the sensor is held onto the center of the wheel by a big clamp type thing, maybe this has come loose?
