Tranny problem, ne1 else have this?

My 08 2.4L cobalt dont even have 50k miles on it, i hardly drive it, just in the summer time, and in NY summer doesnt last long... neways I'm not led foot, so it isnt that i'm beating the hell out of it

well anyways, recently i pulled the car out of the garage and let it run, the road was dry out front so i took it for a spin around the block and it didnt move... It start crawling while i was hitting the gas, The RPMS just went up and the wheels hardly moved... after it warmed up it ran fine, i drive it sometimes it goes fine, but other times it wont move untill it gets warmed up...

Is the Transmission Slipping? Is it time to get a new one? It isnt leaking anything.. And it just Seems odd.. I've had cars go well over 100K on stock trans... I've had this car for only 2.5years i'd hate to have to spend that kinda money to get a new transmission so early in its life hah...

If ne1 has any helpful ideas for me, I'd really appreciate it, Thanks!!

You said you don't drive it often, maybe the pads were rusted to the rotor?
