Mine did it at 8000. Inside rear pads metal on metal, outside like new. They replaced the pads and resurfaced the rotors, took a week. I was in a Pontiac G6 GT for a week. Hated it. Now my front rotors are warped, getting "pulsing" so I'm calling the dealership on Monday. Also just had the fuel pressure sensor replaced 3 weeks ago. I'm still under 11000 miles. Odd thing is, I still love my car.

kind of good news i guess... i took mine to the dealership and explained what was going on with the rears, they said the inside of the rotors are too worn to turn them so they're going to replace the rear pads & rotors under warranty, and they said my vehicle is one of the vehicles affected by the Front brakes TSB so i get new pads & rotors up there too.... they did say that most dealerships should address the rear problem under warranty due to a manufacturers defect on any 08' SS turbo (don't know about 09's, but should be the same) so i would look into this if you'd like to save the money of replacing them yourself... just food for thought. and they actually have the brakes in stock so they say it should take 2-3 hrs. lucky me!!

Well, at least they are still paying for the rental car...I just hope this doesn't take too awfully long.
My dealer replaced my pads with Saab 9-5 pads per GM's instruction. That was 2 months ago and theyre still working fine.
