Trouble Code P0103, Possibly a wet MAF?

Sorry couldnt find anything on this but I know a few of you have gotten your MAF sensor wet because of heavy rain..Question is if mine got wet is the sensor going to just dry out and function properly again or am I likely going to be having it replaced? thanks

EDIT: I just found a little more useful info from searching more, but has anyone's MAF shorted out from getting wet??

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but when I had my truck with CAI, sometimes I'd go through a big puddle and get a CEL, and it always went away within a few days or so.

as far as ive heard, maf sensors generally either work, or they dont.
and youd know it if it wasnt working.

Ive had this now and then, sometimes causes the car to "cough" or "buck for a second"
invest in some CRC maf sensor cleaner.
well worth the money.

yep that should be it, I drove through a nice sized puddle here in CT. Idled crazy and couldnt rev over 2k, and couldnt get out of 1st gear. Bucking and backfiring. But still ran smooth so I knew I didnt actually suck water into the motor. Went back to it 6 hours later and it ran fine after it sat to dry out and CEL cleared...
