Question Trouble Starting?

For the past few months, every now and again my car has a little trouble starting. For the past week or two it has been happening every other day or so. I crank it for a few seconds and when it finally starts, it idles very rough and the tach bounces up and down, usually in a range lower than normal idle. If I shut it off and immediately turn it back on, it runs fine. Any suggestions as to what it might be?

My 2.4 does the same thing and has been for awhile now. I need to give it some gas as soon as it starts or it will run rough and quit but then starts right up again fine. Deale says theres nothing wrong with it but they dont kno **** prolly

The car ignors most of the sensors when it is started cold.
I think it runs in closed loop until it senses a certain amount of tempeture change.
The throttle plate is closed tight and calibrated to zero position with the throttle positon sensor and Im thinking this might be were your problem is.

I'll check the TB for starters.

Could it be something with the ignition system?
