URGENT: Car won't start help!

Hey,

So I was working on the car today and decided I wanted to install my LEDs for the driver and passenger under the dash, no biggie right? Well for whatever stupid reason I decided to tap power off of the DIC button panel, thinking that it comes on when I would want the lights to come on so why not?

So after getting it all wired in, I turned on the car and attemped to start but nothing, check engine light is on, so I unwired the LED's from this and wired it back together with nothing attached, and it still will not start. Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be the issue?

Here are some pics just to give you an idea.

Any help would be much appreciated, I NEED it lol been a long day.

Thanks,

Matt

Your theft light is on, maybe that has something to do with it.

That's kind of what I was thinking, I mean I had been working on the car all day, doors open most of the time, and started it up several times to back in and out of the garage. It turned over a few times at first and then after trying different things got to where it would attempt to turn over but nothing. I'm starting to think I drained the battery, I mean I have tried everything. I'll try unplugging the negative terminal and if nothing I'll try jumping it. It doesn't make sense that the CEL is on though. I've gotta go to work in the morning, hopefully I can get something to work!

Thanks for the replies.

Matt

is your car a stick? you could always get it rolling (3-5mph) and dump the clutch to fire it up and charge the battery with ur alternator.

Keep in mind for this to work the battery cant be completly dead.
In order to push start your car..
The Battery must power
  1. Fuel Pump
  2. PCM
  3. Sensors
  4. Fuel Injectors
  5. Ignition Coils
  6. Alternator Exciter Field

I dont know how much Juice it takes to run all those things though. But the starter does take the most ammount. So ya, its possible that with your battery dead/low that if it still has the power to run those things it will still pushstart. I had a dead battery once where I could not push start it because it wouldn't run all those things. Also happened with a friend of mine's pickup truck once too.

its a theft issue. if the battery dont work. turn key to run position for exactly 10mins. then turn off and back to run within 5 seconds, wait another 10mins. turn off then back to run 10mins off key out back in crank
