Very Nice Dealership Experience
Very Nice Dealership Experience
Well I guess this belongs in this forum because it is service related.
I have had my 06 SS/SC for 13 months now, just turned 8,000 and recieved a card in the mail saying that it had been 13 months without ever servicing it. Well my oil life just ran out so I had planned on taking it in anyways.
The tech originally told me that they couldn't honor the $14.95 oil change price because the car uses Mobil 1. I said no problem, they took the car back to do the oil change. 30 minutes later, the tech comes up to me and tells me they are also going to do the head impact recall fix while they have it back there. No problem! I had forgotten about that.
I get my car back and not only were they going to honor the $14.95 oil change coupon, but I brought up that I forgot to bring in my first oil change free coupon and so it was no charge after all for my oil change. They still honered that coupon after 13 months.
This dealership shows again why this had been my 4th new car out of 5 cars that I purchased from them. Always good service and profesional techs and other people. This is GO Chevrolet in Denver at 73rd and Broadway, formerly John Elway Chevrolet. Still the same dealer, they just changed the name.

LOL Well in another post a few months ago, I said that I was gonna wait till the one year date and bring it in and say I'm here for the cars first service.
I just drive this car on weekends. I took it to California also last September and put 3,000 on that trip. So take 8000 minus the 3000 for my trip and you will see how little I drive the car! It will probably be another year before I take it in again! I'm going to California again in September.

A Pleasant dealer experience
I just had the impact recall fix done on my 06 Cobalt today. I also thought that it would be a good time to take care of some cosmetic defects before my 36000 miles were up.I told the service mgr. that I also would like the driver's door panel replaced (the cloth was coming loose above the pw switch bezel), the door handle chrome plating was peeling, and the two pw switch bezels were severly scratched and a little small for the cutouts in the door panel cloth. He said that there would be no problem and they would replace the items when they did the impact foam recall work.He told me to expect about a 4 hour wait.I watched the two mechanics work on my car through the service dept. window and am impressed at the care they took to do the jobs right. They also had everything done in about 2 hours. Before my passenger side window went up a little slower than the driver's side, but now it goes up fine!...go figure .
They just had me sign the reciept for GM acknlwledging the work was done and handed me my keys. I am very pleased with Alleghany Motors of Covington, Va.

i wish my dealer had a window for me to look through... I wanna know what goes on back there lol. and I've noticed that they always give you an estimated time which they know is more than it actually takes so they look like over-achievers when they tell you they finished early haha.
actually, we usually try and give a longer time and price so that you're expecting a wait. It's better then us telling you that it will be done in 30 minutes and it ends up taking 2 hours.
yeah have to say my dealer is really good too cause they were going to give me a car to drive while i get my stage 2 put in and my salesman the guy i bought my car from is now the assistant sale manager anyways he said i could have the exact same car for a loaner until my car got done he told me that i could have what ever i wanted to drive except for the new ZO6 i was like damn
okay mr. goodwrench I know why they do it I was just making a joke. and of course you can't say it will be done in 30 minutes and have it take 30 minutes. why is that so hard?
