warranty issues?

as of right now i need to get the passenger side front control arm bushing replaced, a/c motor is chirping good and loud and my ignition fixed... Does anyone think they'd flip out if the car came into the shop with a K&N short ram, ZZP catless downpipe and MPx mufflerless exhaust? I'm going to hold off on the Pedders install untill after the control arm is fixed so they cant blame it on springs...

btw, i took the car into the dealer at 6k miles with a busted shift linkage and i was asked if it had any aftermarket parts... I'm at 27k miles now...

Nope, they shouldnt. None of those have any effect on the problems you have.

Shouldn't matter, but then again it depend on the dealer. They try to find every way to not have to do work lol

You'll probably void your warranty with the aftermarket parts installed, regardless if they're part of your problem or not. But it's up to the dealer.

they shouldn't be able to void your warranty because you have aftermarket parts. unless you have an engine tune, they can't void your warranty and they are not allowed to charge you for a warranty covered repair unless they think that the aftermarket part caused the damage, but it does depend on the dealer. if they give you a hard time, you would have to contact GM customer service and complain and that might be a long process to get your money back (if you're able)

my friend ran the service dept up until about a month after i got my car so thats what i was banking on... My local dealer seems to be a penny pincher and ALL of their cars are priced high... i might drive the 2 1/2hrs to where i bought the car since its owned by a moonshiner/dirt track racer haha

No they can't. If his mods caused the problem (it didn't) then they could void the warranty for that part but not the entire car.
