Warranty Problems

hey just looking for some help i got an 06 ss/sc with a injen cold air intake when installed had negative terminal pulled so no cel. last nite i was driving down to boston cuz the sox won the world series and i notcied i had a cel not sure what it is from cuz ive had intake on for awhile now so i dont think the cel is from that, car rides and idles fine. I called and have an appointment for tomorow morning and i told lady i had a cai and she said if thats the case its not covered under warranty im not too knowlegable with this stuff but incase she tries blaming a problem on my cai wat should i say. basically i want to know with the intake wat would i have to do to throw a cel so they just dont try blaming the light on the intake if its not caused by it. hope this makes sense idk how to make it clearer-wat would the intake have to do to throw a cel maybe a little clearer idk guys thanks for the help :

You're probably throwing a false code. If you installed everything correctly, you should have absolutely no problem. My suggestion is **** the dealership, go to autozone or some place like that and have them read the code. Not to mention, if it's not your CAI causing the problem in the car, they can't say anything about your warranty.

if the problem is not directly caused by the intake they have to fix it. double check to make sure everything is airtight, and the maf is in tight as well. if the car is running properly there's probably nothing to worry about.

i had the same problem with my first cai from injen...turns out the piping wasnt bent correctly. i got the pipe replaced b/c it was rubbing on the engine bay and creating holes in the cai. Also, i got my cai put on before i got it tuned so i htink the tune compensated for cai.

intakes been on car a little more than 5000 miles so not really sure whats causing it i dont think it has anything to do with intake but since its my only mod just wanted to see what i should be looking for not sure what else it could be like i said cars running and idling fine so i think intake has nothing to do with since i havent driven threw 3 feet of water lately haha
