Water In Trunk

So my car is collecting water in the trunk. Under the battery. Right now i have about 1/2 inch of water.

I took the car to the dealer that i bought it from (Markville Chev) and they had a "leak specialist" come in to find the problem. They had my car for the entire day, they scratched the clear coat on my bumper on the antenna side, and the carpet panel that goes on the trunk lid was held on by 2 out of i think 10 panel plugs... :S This has been resolved FINIALLY.. but i am not impressed with their service at all. The scratches are still on the bumper but i am not confident that they will get them out.

They claimed that he determined that it was coming in through a bad seal at the base of the antenna housing.

So they had to order the part. 3 weeks later they have me bring the car back in and they complete the fix.

Everything seems fine, now it has not rained since it got fix, because it has been snowing so much here, however the temp has recently changed and now the car has gotten wet a few times in rain and through washing.

I checked the trunk today and to my amazement WATER!!...... lots of water... the battery has moisture on the top of it, and the carpet in the base of the spare tire well is soaked..

Have a look at the below pics i snapped today of my WATERWORLD

Anyone else having this issue? If so what was the resolution any particular part of the trunk?

Put the sprinkler or hose to the car for a while and climb in through the back seat with a flash light ,and see for yourself where its comming in.

sunroof drain hose......

Hey man, check your sunroof drain hose tube....Its located behind the subwoofer if you have the pioneer system. I took my sub out one day and accidentally came across the tube and it was actually squished from one of the bolts that hold the sub in and the tub actually popped off the grommet that leads to the outside of the car.....Just a thought.

Hi, I am new to the site. I have water in the trunk of my 05 LS Cobalt. I do not have a sunroof. I have had it to the dealer for repair, one of the lights on the trunk lid was replaced. Still leaks, so I am taking it in again. Is any one without a sunroof having trunk leak problems? I did not even know it was leaking until I looked under the trunk floor cover and found 3 inches of water.

I just had my car back into the same dealer and they took another look at it.

They discovered that there is some weld joint at the base of the rear window that is leaking water in.

They are working with some product specialist to figure out how to solve the issue. Right now they want to pull out the window and fix the weld joint, but are trying to find another solution.
