the second digit indicates if it's SAE or M.S.

you said the code was p I D 1 0 T

the second digit in said code is "I", which instantly tells you that it's a fake code (i.e. it doesn't exist)

Examples of a real code:

p0300 = Random Misfire (notice the 2nd digit is a "0"? that means it's SAE)

Why would they give me a fake code?

Those guys at the dealer go through a lot of schooling to become technicians, they have no reason to lie to me...

Vince wouldn't tell me either. Everytime I asked he would kinda laugh for some reason it still irritates me today

like i said, it was probably a slow day and they probably wanted to have some fun. IDK, can't speak for the dealership. I know I use to do it all the time with customers that thought they knew what they were talking about when I worked at NTB.

But the dealer told me it was from the gas cap....

How are the gas cap and mounts even remotely related?

its the p1D10T code that connects the gas cap system to the mounts. Its set off by excess vibrations

I get out and look, it's shut all the way. I dunno qwik.

On a serious note, that code is related to your exhaust bearings wearing out to fast.

I was also told by them to check my blinker fluid level.

Anybody know where that fill cap is?

The blinker takes fluid from your battery..you might have to add water to your battery to get your blinker fluid to normal level.

Your fingers are too cold, you are not used to the low temps where you are. Warm your hands in hot water, then try tirghtening the gas cap again. Normally its the vibes from those mounts you got that set the code...

I am actually waiting on some rotated mounts from OTTP, but i don't see what that has to do with this code. i don't remember seeing any sensors or anything like that on the mounts. How would it know?
