So my way to school today just cruising in 4th doing 45 my ABS light, Brake light, Lock light, and some other ones all came on and my radio and dash shut off, all my gages stopped working. I tried shutting off the car and turning it back on and it did nothing. After about 2mins everything turned back on. Then when i was pulling into the parking lot everything turned off again and the lights came back on.

What is going on?!?

 

Ground issue maybe?

I'd check your battery to make sure it's properly connected.

 

yeah, try disconnecting the battery for a while and hook it back up, its worth a shot

 

its your radio ive heard this story a million times
i know for sure its your radio get an aftermarket one with a coverter to use ur current steering wheel controls or if under warranty take it in!

Some kind of fuse or some **** onthe radio makes the gauges not work!

 

The dealership actually did just install me a new stock OEM radio 3 weeks ago..hmm

but would that also cause my abs light and parking brake lights to come on?

 

If you still have your warranty just bring it back.

 

it is definately your radio....it happened to me 6 months after my second radio was installed you need to take it in immediately do not drive your car with it doing this....it will start to control everything else as well, including your turn signals and headlights

 

yep. i just had this happen to me. the factory head units short out for some reason.. probly because they are cheap piles of crap

 

i havent had that issue, but i hear that the radio does control alot of the functions because of the LAN-BUS.

I have an aftermarket installed ocassionally my fuel guage will show empty when it has a quarter tank. I restart and its fine.
