What Smells?
I've had my 07 ss/sc for almost a month now and I haven't driven a manual
in a long time so I'm shifting slow and calm. I only drive 2 miles to work and 2 home.
However, in 2nd gear I often get the urge to FLOOR IT!!! If I've floored it on the way
home I smell something funny when I get out of the car. All my past cars have been
so weak, so I'm not use to the supercharger yet.
Any ideas what smells weird? Should I be worried?

I've been trying to shift right at 3k like I read in another post about clutch glazing.
I'm only flooring it when the clutch is fully out and I'm in 2nd gear.
The car had 1000 miles when I got it so maybe it's just breaking in

I guess I'll look over the engine this weekend and make sure nothing is leaking.
Also,
Is it possible to adjust the clutch so when I let the pedal out it's fully engaged
at 3-4 inches from the top? Right now it's fully engaged maybe 1 inch from the top
and it's hard to keep my heal on the floor and let it that far up.

2 miles ,the car wont even be up to operating temp.
I wouldnt be flooring it until it gets up to full temp.
Mybe thats what your smelling unless one of your calipers is sticking. A quick touch of the rims when you get home should eliminate the brakes.

I had a smell of burning on my 2.4L and I found out that there are some stickers from the manufacturing business end that were just getting burnt off.. It was horrible for the first while but passed.

Well the good news is, I don't smell anything weird any more.
It only lasted 2-3 weeks then stopped. Must have been something
around the engine burning off. Shewwwwww!
