When to chnage oil

I have Full Synenthic oil and dont know if i should follow the DIC or chnage it every 7k

Is one Synenthic oil better then the next one or is it all preference.

the cap on my car says mobil1 synthetic 5w30...any guess on what kind of oil i put in? :}

Any synthetic is better than any petroleum oil.

I use Mobil 1 because it's readily available locally, has a good price/value and meets GM Standard GM6094M. According to your owner's manual, "Failure to use the recommended oil can result in engine damage not covered by your warranty." In other words, if your oil dosent meet the GM6094M standard, they could deny your warranty claim on that basis.

Although I believe that Royal Purple is a superior oil, I don't think it's been tested for the GM6094M standard. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If anyone has documentation proving that it meets the GM standard, I'll probably switch.
