Got a P0102 code, replaced literally everything. From the pigtail to the MAF itself, code still won't clear.
Obviously it's something to do with the electrical.
Where do I locate the ground box/wires? And yes, I don't know what I'm doing.. Just need to know where to locate this thing, as someone told me to go and 'clean off the ground,' whatever that means
A ground is a wire that is attached to the body of the vehicle. There's a major one that runs from the starter area to just behind the driver's side headlight. There are others scattered about. One a couple in the engine bay, iirc.
The forum won't let me attach the Service Manual PDF's since they're larger than 5.00 MB... so here is a link to my OneDrive folder that contains them:
I don't know that this will detail out where the grounds are precisely located, but hopefully you can get some use out of them. In particular, the "Electrical Components" and "Wiring Diagram" chapters.
"Service manual.zip" contains all of them - you should probably download it for yourself.
These are specific to 2005/2006 cars... but there isn't a TON that's changed with a majority of the components. Wire colors may differ, etc.
You are a Godsend! You're always offering advice and assistance to my queries, I appreciate you so much. Thank you.
My next goal in addition to restoring this Cobalt to working order is to get my cat a costume and hat like your profile picture. But different. Then we can be cool cat Cobalt owners haha (serious about the costume btw)
I think I found the issue, not certain yet but it looks to be sort of problematic. This is located just below the top of the engine block, right side, underneath the line that goes from the coolant into the engine (I think?). One wire isn't even attached to anything, the other is literally dangling by some tangled wire. I wasn't getting a ground reading from the black wire on my multimetre earlier and then I found this. I think there is other wires that need repair/replacing as well
