06 SS/SC Front End Clunk Fixed

Bought this car new. Now has 100k miles in it.

Front end clunk started a few years back. Just lived with it. Consensus here was sway bar end links, did those couple of years ago. No change.
Only did it on single wheel bumps. Speed humps etc, no noise.
Should mention that when it first started clunking it was only when cold outside. Would go away after a few minutes of driving. Eventually did it all the time.

So finally replaced the front sway bar bushings. Moog replacements, $12.

Problem solved! The originals didn’t look bad, but just enough slop to make noise. Stock are poly by the way.

So just reference if you have a clunk.

Ron

Stock is not polyurethane. Stock is rubber. But yes, they compress over time and eventually will start to clunk.
