Wierd Problem developing

Hmm ok guys ill start off with my car is an 06 ss/sc just about to hit 70k miles
no real problems to speak of so far and the few that it has had were caused by me lol
but recently iv been noticing a wierd issue

last weekend i was getting in my car to go home i opened the door and everything was normal, put the key in the ignition and when i got to the acc position everything went dark, no power to anything, i got out and went to the trunk thinking maybe a battery terminal came loose or something opened the trunk with the key and just as i lifted up the rug in the back all the lights came back on i got in the car and started it up and all was fine except i had to reset the clock. was fine for about 3 days and then on wednesday it did the same thing again except this time the cabin lights and everything were ever so faintly lit and the security light was blinking lasted for about 45 seconds then returned to normal.

iv been around these forums for a long time and i havent really heard of anything like this happening, my only real guess would be the BCM and thats just a guess, i havent gone to the dealer yet but its not all the time so they probably wont find anything already checked with hptuners also and im not throwing any codes so im kinda stumped

Maybe your battery is experiencing blackouts? lol.

I think it sounds ground related.

I ran the battery down in my car one time and had to jump it but after I got it started all of my presets on the radio and my clock were still set. So, it seems like you would not have had to reset your clock unless your storage (whatever that is) is messed up.

I googled the bcm and it says when it goes bad it has a lot of quirks like that, lights coming on, going dime, chimes going off, trunk opening by itself. It said if you unhook the battery, sometimes they fix themselves.

bump for day time

the battery is brand new replaced a few months ago and the car starts on 1 crank
no corrosion or anything to speak of on the terminals. it happened twice in a week but has been fine since wednesday so i suppose well see.
if it is the bcm what are my options just wait till it goes bad? i know its a costly fix, but good maintenance which iv done all along isnt gonna save me from this one.
guess ill just wait and see if it progress's

Remove the ground from the engine to chassis and clean the ends and mounting points.
