Will GM fix this?

So the car is a 2007 ss/sc

has 64,000 miles so I should have a powertrain warranty, although I am no the original owner. I've been told the warranty stays with the car, so that should be irrelevant.

The engine is definitely running a little strange, although it would seem fine to somebody who hasn't driven one before. My compression numbers are 150 in #1, 210 in #2, 210 in #3, and 180 in #4. obviously these are not good numbers. So if I take the car in to the dealer, will they do anything about it?

Define 'little strange' because that is the crux of the issue. I dont think GM will touch your motor simply because your compression numbers are less than ideal if the motor is running without issue. However, if the motor is not running right than they will fix your compression issue to remedy that.

There's only ONE WAY to find out...really, it's that simple.
You didn't mention any mods...that could be the deal breaker.

Well, GM will not fix it. But your local dealership might.

Sounds like you've got some bad exhaust valves, most likely. I've seen the 2.2's go bad but the numbers you posted look exacty like the last one I put a head on.

If the check engine light is on, take it in. 2007's have 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. But its wierd in what is covered and whats not. If it is a valve issue and you don't have obvious non-GM modifications, it should be covered. By the way dont, tell them you ran a compression test yourself, play dumb. (my 2 cents)

Only mods on the car are gm stage 2 and a dual pass endplate, and rotated trans mounts.

I have a little smoke and there is liquid in the cylinders.

the car is definitely driveable, but I want it fixed, my gas mileage has been crappy and I'm thinking I lost some power.

I don't work for GM, but instead at a Toyota Dealership but I'd imagine it'd be generally the same deal. It's really a matter of what tech you get (ask for a senior tech) and how much you complain to their service manager. Let me rephrase complain, because just annoying dbag doesnt help, but relentlessly pursue your way with him/her. Either way you're going to have to bring it in to find out.

Good luck, GM/dealer did not want to cover my porous block defect from the factory. Never will own a gm again sadly. To much hassle.

Okay,
According to the GM Shop Manual that I baught,
believe it or not, your compression numbers are good.

Your lowest cylinder (150) is more then 70% of your highest cylinder (210)
#1 would have to be 146 psi in order to fail. Also all cylinders are over 100 psi.
Combine that with...

This may cause them to think there is nothing wrong, along with the compression numbers being technically "good" But take it in and try. If you have a CEL on it would help them do something, but if thers no codes I doubt theyd do anything, or might just bandaid it till the warranty wears out.

I've shot flames out the back when running the car hard, I feel like bad exhaust valves may have something to do with that.

honestly I'm considering running this thing hard from here on and hoping it gets worse. Theres still liquid in the cylinders so theres obviously a problem.

what kind of liquid? in all the cylinders? what driveability issues are there? trying to understand the main issue. with those symptoms I would take it on a roadtest, check codes, and if nothing abnormal was noted it would be kicked out the door. need more info.

im 99 percent sure its oil. There are no driveability issues per say, but it's fouling a lot of spark plugs and I occasionally get misfires when stepping on it. It is apparent to me that the car is down on power.

i am having the same prob pretty much
my 07 ss/sc is setting a #4 misfire code, plug keeps fouling out with oil
#1 cyl has 150psi compression and i have 85psi on #4
the idle is very rough
when i get hard on it, it pops the dipstick up and blows oil out the stick...

Redo your compression checks.
85 psi is defently bad. Squirt some oil in the cylinder, then reacomplish the chek
If adding oil in the cylinder helps you have worn out piston rings.
Otherwise, it's in the valvetrain

Edit: Just re-read your post and saw the part about the dipstick
That makes me think its more in the piston rings.

I put a solid trans mount on my 07 SC and cracked the bell housing BAD. GM actually put a WHOLE NEW transmission in and covered it under warranty. I've had a couple of small issues in this car and a previous GM car I owned and never had a problem with them covering warranty issues. GM =
