Windows wont go down?????

well yesterday I was having a problem with my driver side door lock getting stuck as I am sure everyone else has had but after It started working again my windows wont go down. Luckily they were stuck up but I am wondering if they have their own fuse. Everything on the panel works (door lock and power side mirrors) except for the windows. I am hoping it is just a fuse? The car is a 06 ss/sc.

Hello jetaws6,

You can find information on fuses and your vehicle's electrical system beginning on p. 5-92 in the manual. It looks as though the power windows do have their own fuse.

LS6Rally (and jetaws6),
I wish I had more info on my end - hopefully other community members will jump on the thread soon. If you decide to work with a dealership please let me know as I am available to work with you through the process.
Best,

Yes the power windows have a fuse, I had that problem on my Cobalt it kept blowing fuses until the drivers side window which had a short in it that was fixed under warrenty which was still valid at the time. What was happening is when the windows were raised and lowered the wire harness would move up and down with it causing it to wear out come loose the insulation around the wire to wear off and cause it to short out and blow the fuse. The dealer had to replace it with a brand new one.

I just had this issue, turns out I was using a fast blowing fuse for it which is the wrong one. Try a slow blowing 30a fuse
