Okay so at about 930 i decided to leave a friends house..well i got in the car started up like normal and took off..while getting half way down the road..i gunned it in first..think it bounced off rev limiter once. (like i always let it do befor i hit second)
but as it hit rev limit it stalls and shuts off..turn the key and sputters like its gonna start and shuts off..again cranks motor shutters and stalls wont start. do it again shutter can hear engine trying to come to life and nothing..i call my friend and my dad and the moment my friend pulls up i try again and it starts right up purring like nothing happend..i was like wtf?..i told my dad and he said did u let it warm up?..and i told him no..its like 32 degrees here could that be the prb?..it was running fine befor..i ran into town driving around and it was sitting befor all this happend for about a half hour? and i got gas and threw an octane booster/injector fuel system cleaner in it. could one of those be the prb?..not letting it warm up and the booster?

 

hitting redline is bad for the car in general so that prolly had something to do with it

 

Ehh, I dunno. I wouldn't suggest bouncing off the rev limiter dude. It probably sent shock through the engine for a bit. Perhaps that was it?

 

Never ever ever get on your car until its warmed up your going to **** up your motor! And stay off the rev limiter just because its there doesn't mean you should abuse it, that will mess **** up too. As far as it stalling out while driving after getting all over it i don't know...

 

If you hit the rev limiter in first............you are pushing it too far............the car needs a moment to get it together after that. You need to learn how to drive your car!!!

 

I really honestly dont abuse it..like sometimes i think it has a little more room to go and it hits rev limiter..
Idk theres nothing wrong..it started back up eventually it dident the first like 8 times..alot of steam from my tail..did notice that but..idk if that means anything..but other then taht..not check engine light nothing..its fine..i guess..just wanted some input maybe u guys could think of w.e

I know how to drive!..i kinda did that by mistake..i useualy dont make it my intention to hit it!

 

Well be that as it may, im a little appalled that you didn't know to let your car warm up before driving it hard. Especially in cold weather.

 

I agree with everybody else, try not to hit the rev limiter, and to let your engine warm up.

If it happens again, I wouldn't get on it hard any time soon. But, if it's the only time, I think you should be alright....

 

I honeslty thought it would be fine..cuz i was driving earlyer and it was sitting for maybe half an hour 45 min..not that long so i didnt think much of it..figured its still gotta be kinda warm

and this has beeen the only time its happend happend tonite..

 

That is your problem dude. Just don't hit the rev in 1st all the time.

 

I just plain and simple dont drive hard in weather under 40F. its just not the best practice

 

That plus not letting the car get warmed up.....

 

It still might be kinda warm, but yeah i always check my temp gauge before i go anywhere fast. If the heater is blowing nice warm thats how i also judge it, and even then i still baby the car.

No Check engine came on and it after i tryed starting her 8 times w.no luck
the last time after it was sitting for about 10 min it came right back on w. a rev and a purr soo

 

I don't think you fucked anything up if you started up and it ran fine and no problems yet, you would've been in limp mode if you did i would guess.

 

I hope i dont have any problems..felt normal..no shakey motor and what not..gears changed fine..picked up fine..didnt feel any slower..felt normal..i have a warrenty on it soo..like..if somthing goes wrong i guess its underwarenty?..or maybe im wrong?

 

u just said right there that u hit it like always.....so much for knowing how to drive its common knowledge that ur not supposed to hit it and should shift about 500rpms b4 the redline like i shift at 6500 (my redline is 7k).......

 

If I'm understanding this the wrong way then correct me... you take it to the rev limiter in first every time? Oh lord.
