Yes I think a heads up is in order for those of you who track your cars or like to aggressively drive twisty mountain roads on a regular basis: The stock Brembo pads are much better than HPS. I mean MUCH better. For regular daily driving the HPS pads probably do fine. If you want an upgrade in temrs of bite and braking power, go to the Hawk DTC series. I got my DTC-70s on this thread as well. DTC are track pads and consequently very dusty. If you don't like that, better to get OEM replacements. The R1Concept blank rotors I have from here perform the same as the stock rotors.
Well if its not the Hawk HPS you guys want, I am a west coast distributor for Hawk pads, so whatever other hawk pads you need, I can get it too. Yes, Hawk HPS (HPS = high performance street) is more for the streets, if you want something more for the tracks, try Hawk HP Plus Race Pads

Steve, my Cobalt brakes are still good for another few months, but my other car needs new brakes BAD... (10% life left according to the local dealer during the last oil change and inspection).
Would I be able to get a discount on a set of rotors and pads for another car? It's a 2007 Nissan Quest SE with 4 disk brakes... I'm looking at getting a set of premium rotors (drilled and slotted) and Hawk HPS pads for all four corners, shipped to 97007.
Thanks.

Also, the R1Concepts site isn't listing the front rotors or pads for the 08 SS/TC (which it also lists as supercharged for both 08 an 09 for some reason)... are they still available?
Just installed my r1 concepts slotted premium rotors and hawk hps pads. The brakes work great. thumbs up to r1 concepts(steven) on getting the rotors machined and shipped quickly, they arrived exactly when they were supposed to. As for some of the comments above the hps pads in my opinion are a good pad for the street. I wouldn't take them to the track though. In my opinion the best option for pads would've been stock ferrodo/brembo front pads which are trackable and also good on the street, and hps rear pads because stock rear pads suck. The issue I see with going with a full race pad is if you daily drive your car in a cold climate it will take a lot longer for a race pad to heat up. So when you first leave on a cold morning have fun stopping. Of course if you don't live in a cold weather state or you only track your car that doesn't apply to you. The only reason I went with hps pads on all 4 is that I needed brakes asap and didn't have the 150 bucks for the stock front pads.

So anyone tried these? How are they in comparison to stock? I might be looking at getting these before winter comes around.
