he is right about the bumper and the 3m product lineup. If your not picky and have time on your hands you can remove those clear coat scrapes with 3m scratch remover and a microfiber rag (6 applications). Your color is so easy to hide **** it wouldnt be hard. Obviously using my solution would be not as pure as Silvr's but it would make it "good enough" to me.

As far as your touch up....

You would need to be alot more patient than that quick fix. Even if i suggested what to do, if your not careful it can look like crap so im too hesitant. Also i dont know of a good clearcoat touchup paint to coincide with the base.

I would "safely" say try my way on your fucked up bumper by gouging it to the primer and see how you do.

Sorry i havent been attentive ive been in back to back meetings all day. Ill explain some methods when i hit the home-front.

Ill be ordering my replacement fender friday and ill do a how-to on scratch and gouge repairs. Im sure others have better methods but pictures dont lie

So i Washed it, Used a medium compound with my dads buffer and than waxed it. I think if i do it once more it will be gone. All thats left is the gouges

those gouges were what i was talking about, but u did a really good job with the compound! Most people who ask about scratches generally screw their paint up with compounding and blame the person who gave the advice.

As long as your happy with that result, thats all that matters.

What "medium" grade compound did u use?

Be careful when attempting to remove the rest if those marks, some of them look deeper than I thought. If you can run your finger nail over them and it catches in the scratch that meand it is too deep to remove so dont try it. if you really want ti get them out I can give you some advise but I dont want to be held responcible if it gets messed up. Just let me know.

bump....

a small "what product use" would be sufficient, not a complete how-to.

I would have wet sanded them BEFORE the polish.....but that is just me. and i wouldnt have gotten the thick gouge out completely....just softened the edges. The hairline gouge would have been trivial.
