For removing stains, I use the following process.

1. Spray stain liberally with Folex (or Woolite diluted 6:1)
2. Agitate stain with a carpet scrub brush.
3. Use a spot extractor (Bissel Little Green Clean Machine or similar) filled with hot water to extract the stain and the detergent from the seat.
4. Repeat the extraction process again until the water being extracted is no longer dirty.
5. Blot dry with a Microfiber towel and let the spot air dry.

I wouldn't use that process on leather. It's a whole different animal. The process I posted above would be useful for cloth seats. For leather, you want to get a dedicated leather cleaner, leather cleaning brush, and perhaps a good leather conditioner after cleaning. Check out autopia.org for leather cleaning and you'll see many posts on the proper and most effective way to clean leather. Just look around and use the process that is most convenient for you
