Random orbit buffer/polisher
Hey,
I'm looking to get a buffer/polisher and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I know that the Porter Cable 7424 is a really good one, but I'm looking for something a little less expensive. Just a basc 'beginning to get more into detailing' buffer/polisher. Thanks

I have the Hitachi SP18VA its on the pricey side but it'll be the last buffer you ever have to buy in my opinion. I bought it when i worked at a detail shop used it everyday all day long for 3 years straight and it still works like new. And also if your just learning to buff/polish it's pretty nice to work with because it has variable speed on it so you dont get it going too fast if you dont want it to. I've never used the porter cable it may be a good buffer but ive used some that just suck they bog down when you put any pressure on them. Just my .02 hope it helped

Its not what you use its how you use it. I bought my vector polisher for under 70$ had it over 2 years and can turn out the same looking job as my bosses Hitachi .It has variable speed with trigger lock and uses hook and loop pad .3M has great buffing products as far wool or foam pads ,compounds and polishes
