Question Swerly scratch marks in paint?

So what's the best product out there to remove these and restore the clean clear coat look on my car?

The car, yes. The scratch marks aren't actual scratch marks, it's those swerly ***** that people claim could be easily removed with some compounds.

These "Swerly scratch marks" you refer to are more commonly known as...............drum roll................Swirl Marks.

Research Meguiars Site

In my opinion they have the best stuff and the most variety of products out until you start buying crazy expensive exotic stuff. Their site will tell you exactly what you need for whatever it is you're trying to do.

Search the site for their Car Care Rx, you take a quiz and it tells you the products you're going to need.

Ask anyone that has seen my car, all I use is Meguiars. and during the summer I virtually eliminate swirl marks.

They come out pretty good with Meguiars #83 using a Porter cable 7424 on speed 5 then top it off with Meguiars NXT or #21 then for a real shine #7 these is a nice little DVD that Meguiars put out on how to get rid of these with the PC for like $9 the nice thing with using the PC is that it's hard to burn the paint with it. But it will also cost between $100-$130

It doesn't really save time with the PC but you get a much better result than by hand.

you dont "compound and or buff it," you use a buffer with compound.

Damn. You need better wash/wax techniques. I have barely any swirls on my car, the only ones that ARE on there were from the dealer trying to "detail" the car. It was a showroom model, and then after my accident they detailed it after paint and fucked it up.

What to do:

Wash the car first like normal (look this up on Autopia or some other reliable source as you may or may not be doing it right)
Wash again with dish soap instead of car soap. I like the kind thats made for cutting through grease, seems to do a better job than the antibacterial ****
Claybar
Paint Cleaner
Polish
Wax

Should take care of 99% of the swirls.

Meguires, wizzards or 3m makes good products. Use a buffer with a black pad not these dumb orbital buffers that everyone uses and wonders why they cant get swirl marks out
