I'm tring to clean my stripes but dunno what to clean them with i was told that rubbing alchol works but when i tried that nothing happened but maybe removed some more dirt they still look dirty or maybe its just sun beaten but does anyone know of a cleaner that i could use to bring them back to life

 

Sorry but that is what happens with vinyl over time... it'll fade and look dirty! Use a window cleaner on them that doesn't have Amonia in it... if that doesn't do it then it's time for new stripes!

You should wax them like your car it'll keep them cleaner and looking newer longer!

 

yea well thats the thing the stripes aren't that old an i have waxed them with the car but i dunno i can have the guy cut me new stripes they have like a 7 year warranty and only been on the car for maybe 2 years

 

I would have him redo them.... and wax them the minute they get put on....

 

it all depends on the kind of vinyl. the sun tears vinyl up bad if it cheap. the stuff on pinks balt is extremely high grade and expensive as hell and only lasts 4 to 6 months and its faded almost white. you most likely not gonna bring the color back. if it faded its faded rip it off and start over. i redo vinyl stripes all the time for people. the best think i can tell you is have your vinyl guy put the uv laminate over the stripes next time it helps greatly. and thats also is he has the resources to do that. if you have any further questions pm me im a vinyl guy. i do it for a living.
