I just got mine today. Looks great and is obviously of high quality. I am having a hell of a time getting it to not bulge the splash guard though. I am sure it is something I am doing wrong, but I have an 07 and everything seems to be in the way. I am going to read the how to again and see if I missed something...

Yup. Been there. I am just not able to get the right angle to eliminate the bulge. I could get it high enough to not bulge, but the placement of the MAF won't let me go higher. I don't really mind the bulge too much if it doesn't hit my tire. Maybe I just need to test it and see if it rubs...

edit: Well, I got it in and it still bulges the inner splash guard, but doesn't rub on my tire. I wish you had put the MAF on the side like I saw on some of the pics instead of at the top. I would be able to raise it up a bit and get rid of the bulge. Also, I did mention twice that I had a throttle body spacer that I wanted to install and asked if it would be a problem or if you needed to change anything to make sure there would be no problem. It has become clear that there is no way that I can put in the spacer and have enough room for this intake. I am a little unhappy about that as I did ask in this thread twice. What am I going to do now?

There has been great deal of interest on our CAI so I will give everyone an amazing deal if we can get the numbers in, so bug your brother, hassle your cousin and beg your cobalt friends to get in on this deal.

In the GB so far:

What the intake SOUNDS LIKE Thanks to ROKO!

1. Omega_5 (paid) (3.5" TB support, Black coupler)
2. HellbillySS (paid)
3. Greased (paid)
4. takes5tries (paid) WITH TB SPACER
5. IamTvor (paid) (3.5" TB support, Black coupler)
6. CobaltSS313 (paid) WITH TB SPACER
7. neb07ss/sc (paid) (black coupler)
8. liolixli (paid) (tap spacer with coupler)
9. LopsidedJester (paid)
10. SJSchafer (paid)

Here some info copy and pasted from other threads discussing the CAI:

please post up some pics, would like to see some quality, remember stainless parts aren't cheap and I doubt they use CNC made parts such as the MAF Bung. We go the distance to use quality parts on every component and then test and log our intakes using HP Tuners. I don't think even AEM or K&N go that far.

Here is ours:

if your going for this upgrade you want to be running an aftermarket of some sort, why our intake?

1. Cause it's all Stainless Steel, this is what happens to AL intake after a while with all the rubbing on the engine compartment:

2. The maf is placed in the right spot so you don't throw any codes

3. We use quality 304 stainless which is actually used for the food industry (this stuff is so hard it melts drill bits when trying to tap a hole in it)

Customer Reviews:

i like it, installed fine and looks great.
No fitment issues if you take your time the first time.
No Cels, my fujita initially even gave me Cel's
And yes I replacedthe aluminum Fujita with poor fitment issues that eventually got a hole worn in it with this lovely stainless 3" version from Rebel.
Bout all I can say.... except Thanks Rebel!

"so i got the intake put in today. i had a k&n cold air on already and changing over intakes was worth every penny. the throttle response is much better. the car feels so much more responsive when hitting the accelerator. i couldn't open it up due to the weather but il post up as soon as i can. my first experience at rebel was a great one and will defiantly not be my last"

So as for the Price:

$270CDN + shipping for 10 orders

$260CDN + shipping for 20 orders

$220CDN + shipping for 30 orders

If you don't want a filter knock $15CDN off

If you want a 3.5" TB adapter plate add $79.99CDN

Now in order to be added to the GB you will have to put down a $100CDN (Canadian Funds) deposit through paypal to sales@rebelautoworxs.com

***VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NICKNAME OFF THIS SITE WITH YOUR PAYMENT OTHERWISE WE DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE

is it too late to order this intake?

I just want to say for the record, that the way things are looking, I will likely be a RAW customer for life. I am a big critic of customer service and a firm believer that **** happens and it's how a company responds when it does that shows that company's character. After my complaint above, Rebel contacted me via PM and have been excelent with their responses and support.

Thanks Rebel!

Got mine today too. Didn't look at it too much, but it is beautiful as far as the polish job. It looks way better in person. Can't wait for the weather to get better so I can finish polishing my supercharger, swap to the polished housing, and install this. Very happy so far.

The intake is a bit of a bitch to install even on the 06. All you need is patience and it will fit. The only thing I had to do was bend the rad support near where the intake goes into the fender with my car other than that and reinstalling it twice. Once at our install day where I had the fender liner bulge and again when I got home because of the fender buldge. Now everything fits as I folowed the instruction thread and I also ended up using zip ties to hold the intake in place. This intake is a snug fit but be patient and follow RAW instructions and you should have no problems.

I have to admit it does sound throatier (is this a word). It also seamed to level out my LTFT and STFT (wierd).

Thanks Rebel.

I guess I'll put in a good word for Rebel too. This intake is sweet. Looks great, sounds great and if you take your time and work with it, it will fit great. These guys did a great job and I will buy from them again.

Hey Hillbilly

Did you have to do any modifications to your car to get it in. I had to bend the rad support about a 1/4" where it goes into the fender?

cheers
