2.2 throttle body on a blower

Since i cant find the 6 pin tb and the price for the connector is extremely high.. I was wondering if i can just use my stock 2.2 tb till i find what i am looking for.. and also what modification would have to be done for it to work?

Thanks guys

Different bolt pattern for the TB to the flange? Drilling and tapping most likely.

we made a plate 1" thick, milled out the bore for the tb, bored a channel for a gasket for the tb, drilled the four holes for the blower then drilling them again with a bigger bit to make the heads sit just below the surface. Then drill and tap your holes for the tb.

when we did interviewatruins, we bored out the holes on the stock TB, than used a gasker maker sheet to cut a custom gasket, that plus the stock LSJ gasket made a perfect seal that last him for the entire time he was boosted, which was 7+months...stock TB works, just need to get a drill bit and drill the bolt homes biggers, and use washer to make up for the bigger holes

would have made my life a lot easier doing it that way. I ended up biting the bullet for the 120$ 6 pin female plug from the dealership and spent over 4 hours looking at wiring diagrams and figuring out how to re-wire the Tb because no one had ever done it on an 07 ls. Are the diameters the same i feel like the 2.0l Tb i put on the blower had a bigger ID than my 2.2 Tb.

Here's the 6-Pin to 8-Pin conversion I'm using, Gene.

8 Pin

Pin A (Dark Green): TP Sensor 1 Signal
Pin B (Light Blue/Black): 5-Volt Ref 2
Pin C (Black): Low Reference
Pin D (Purple): TP Sensor 2 Signal
Pin E (Yellow): TAC Motor control 1
Pin F (Brown): TAC Motor control 2
Pin G (Gray): 5-Volt Ref 1
Pin H (Black/White): Low Reference

6-Pin
Pin A (Brown): TAC Motor control 2
Pin B (Yellow): TAC Motor control 1
Pin C (Tan): Low Reference
Pin D (Dark Green): TP Sensor 1 Signal
Pin E (Gray): 5-Volt Reference
Pin F (Purple): TP Sensor 2 Signal

8-Pin >>> 6 Pin

A > D (Dark Green)
B > E (Gray)
C > C (Tan)
D > F (Purple)
E > B (Yellow)
F > A (Brown)
G > E (Gray)
H > C (Tan)

B/G both go to Pin E (Gray)
C/H both go to Pin C (Tan)
here's the wiring diagram that I used.
Thanks to MP81
