The problem is the average css user is 16-24 years old, male, single, etc. You do the math LOL.

Even in our signature, the word k n o b is censured. It's censured in all of our posts as well. This is one of the main product of our company. It should not be censored. I mean, we're on about 50 different forums and this is the only place where it's like that...

Hi there TWM, I am actually totally stumped why that is happening. I can't even find the word in our censored terms.

I am going to need tech's assistance on this one.

cheers,
robb

Most if not all of those were already in place before IB arrived I think. Its common for forums to censor links to other forums that they have had issues with like spamming / recruiting. Not saying that's the case for all of the other cobalt sites but I'm confident it is for some..lol.

frankly, this is hte only site I have seen do this...

lets not kid anyone either, this is the big dog for Cobalt sites, no otheres come close;
imho, I'd figure that any links would eventually result in more people eventually migrating here...

I know that I have linked this site on several others (none of which were Cobalt sites though)...

well it just seems childish to censor there name, and yeah it was good ol johnnyB that censored the names cause he was a crybaby about them, but with the new ownership of the site would it really kill them to uncensor the names?

see my own logic is, that if another site is linked, I'd expect that one or two people might sign up & post there, but eventually they would be mentioning, posting links, or recommending that people come here purely based on the activity, and amount of info here - so in the end, they would be bringing people here...

but that's just my own $0.02

Ads don't bother me at all. They provide the revenue to support this site which has helped me learn quite a bit, helped me dump plenty of money into my car, and helped me kill waaaaay to much time. The censoring is ridiculous, and I'm glad that it is getting taken care of.

Link in my sig is getting edited. If I post something like this:

Trackdaze, 11-15-2010 - a set on Flickr

It works, but my sig gets edited?

If you choose to be non-constructive, then just go elsewhere, and stop coming back.
