Well i normally stick 2 3 sections on this fourm, 1 being 2.2 L61 motor section, an other being Canada North East, and the last being the group buy section.
here is what i think about what you guys should do with this site.

im sick and tired of looking at posts int he canada north east section and seeing they are locked for no stupid reason! but other then the fact people from the states and other areas come on and start bullshit!
so i think the admin on this site should do what alot of other people do on other sites and make sure that EVERYONES profile says where they are from in it and have access to their region, like, all the USA People have no Access to Canadian fourms, and Canadians have no access to the USA section, and allow everyone see everything else.
like its bullshit, people on our section want to sell things localy and they get locked, so they do what you tell them make a post int he classifieds and then makes a post in our section for the link to it because NO ONE in our section looks at the classifieds and his post with the link gets blocked.

the mods have TO MUCH power if you ask me!
so maybe if you fix it so the us sticks out of canadian sections and canadians stick out of the us sections then we are all good!

 

then create a canada balt forum?

There is no way IMO to regulate this problem with out making both parties upset or unfair.

 

a simple fix would be for you canadian guys to take a few seconds and get familiar to where the classified section is and start using it . the classified section is like my favorite part of this site. how can anyone not like the classifieds? its bargain central!

 

i've seen on multiple forums .... where there a section dedicated to a region and only people from that region may be able to access it .... personaly i think its a good idea .... give the guys in the region who know eachoter to communicate ... i'm thinking more along the line as spliting up in the regin on the map .... canadian northeast and canadian northpacific can't access eachoter forums and such ...

as for the classified i'm always viewing that section .... but some people wanna keep sales local ... and you gotta respect that ....

 

its not only that they dont know where the classifieds are but its the fact that the people from the us dis the price we put, like they dont understand that our dallar is different so our things cost more, so we sell them for more

 

i think it's all BULLSHIT!! most forums i'm on have a section for the regional people and then have a classifieds off the regional fourm like a sub-forum even that would help a bit. but i do agree with pykie on this one!! make it so people from that region can only see it and whatnot! the americans are sticking there noise into our fourm way too much. we don't go into there fourms and start ****! but that's just my 2 cents worth don't gang up and jump me!.... if there is enough interest in a local cobalt fourm i can start up one of those free hosting site's type thing... until we can get alot of interest them maybe me and a few other members can get a real site domain goin!! but it's just an idea to throw out there!....???

 

your pictures thread was in the wrong section. The site is split up for a reason. It makes no sense to post pictures in a Canadian section just because those are the people who care in your eyes. It defeats the purpose. If EVERY topic got posted in whichever region you were from you would never be able to find anything.

If you want orginization by region........that's called a new forum.... go make one.

 

I have no problem how the forum is divided now... it easy to navigate. If I want to post pictures of my car then I post it in the proper section. If I want to sell something and keep it local I will just tell people who inquire that it is a local sale.

 

I like pykie's idea. I defently agree about the classified section. I have parts for sale and i want it to be local only. but i cant post it in my local section. once again, most of the guys that r in the section dont look on the site much...and i dont want non-locals saying "how much to ship" even when it says local only

It's called PEOPLE CAN'T READ. Otherwise they'd stick to their section, but why should I not be able to see what's going on in FL or CA just cuz I'm in OH?

 

no what he is saying is..... all u americans can use your own section no matter what part of the states you are in we are just getting sick of all of the ignorant ones that come into the canadian north east section startin ****....if we could all just get along im sure there wouldnt be any problems but that is hard when alot of ppl on this site think their **** dont stink.... and that they are better than everyone else. but dont get me wrong i love the site alot of good vendors and a **** load of good information on here.

 

Ya I have no problem either. Works fine for me, dont see the need in locking the regional sections for only those who live there

 

This site is specific to one type of vehicle, the cobalt. Not one country

Go make your own forum if it bothers you that much

 

Yeah, theres alot of people on here that dont even have a cobalt..lol, but i think a classified forum under the canada northeastern section would be a smart move!

or how about just requiring users to post location in the classified thread title....
