How the REPUTATION system works
I'm pretty sure the purple box means that the person giving you rep has very little rep of their own. I've got two of them and they both had positive feedback attached to them.
Good write up, though. You deserve to ball Hayden P. for this

the only time ive gotten the purple box (i always thought it was gray) was when someone left no comment. I took it as a positive rep with no comment attached so it was more or less neutral.. i have no idea
for example if you have 120 rep pints before you get your second block at 200 the saying changes at 150.
the changes happen like this.. 150-250-350-450-600-800-100.. the reason for the jump between 450-600-800 is because its half way between each block. like you stated earlier once you reach 500 it takes 200 rep points to get to the next block. well half way through would be 600. and the next saying will appear at 800. so on and so forth.
hope this helps man

No reign they change half the value of each block.

interesting because i know it changed at 1,000 it might just be the next block. it wont change til prolly 1,300 like for your next block might be more than just 200 for the next one... it might step up to a different color and maybe to 300?

i have a theory that if follows a pattern
that every 5 blocks the pattern changes, ie
100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 700, 900, 1100, 1300, 1500, 1800, 2100, 2400, 2700, 3000, 3400, 3800, 4200, 4600, 5000
but that is just speculation until someone actually gets to 1500-1800 range

yes that is still right. because when you start out with 0 points you have 1 box. 100 is 2 boxes. you will get your 3th box at 300 rep points.
so you mean i'll have 4 boxes not 3...
you know what will solve all of this controversy....just prove it. feel free to rep me

so how much is each individuals rep worth?

it varys. if they have 1 box and low posts. its going to be 1 or2.. the more boxes they have and the more posts its going to be as high as 20-25 lol
