I got banned because of CC08....which is BS. He insulted me and I told him something mean, I got banned, and he was allowed on the site...for 2 months till he got banned. Now that he is banned, I feel that I should be allowed to be unbanned

If someone was shopping at a web site and wanted to get good customer service and complain about there bad service I don't think the owner will say "if you don't like it then leave " they will fix the issue

I'd make a fantastic mod, but I don't have the paitence for it. I'd really have a zero tolerance policy.

The mods by section is what they do at my350z.com and it makes things much easier, each sub-forum has a designated pair or more of mods, some of the mods are in more than one place, but it gives you clear direction as to who is responsible for keeping the behavior reasonable and whatnot. I'd love to be a technical/nitrous mod. Just lock me outta the lounge.

yeah pretty much. haha

i say just make everyone a mod. it'll be like cobaltss.net civil war 1.0, eventually everyone will be permabanned and then no one can complain about trollers and scammers cause the site will have zero activity and we'll all move to gmsc where moderation is awesome!

You are trying to be a mod but being a dick about me not answering your PM immediately? Sorry I had to get off the site and feed my kid and put him to bed. Geez

funny thing I notice is most, hell nearly all of the people complaining don't have PREMIUM MEMBER under their screen name.

I know, I know... "I'm not gonna give money to such a shitty site" :: bunch of whiney bitches..... well you sure don't have a problem clogging it up with bullshit threads instead of using the search button or quote-posting a series of pictures a buttfuck number of times.

JB stated the truth: like it or leave it.... either way STFU with all the crying.

not trying to be a dick, but if you want to call me out like that. then i should be able to defend myself. i sent you that pm when this thread was made, and you remained online for atleast another hour while you were "weeding out the trolls" i don't see how you can do that and put your kid to bed at the same time. why don't you get some more mods, like me and the other people wanting to turn this site back down the right road, and you CAN spend more time with your kids...

but yes, i believe pm's on issues like this should be responded to asap, imo. hell i've read through pages of a thread and hit the post quick reply button to type my response only to have a pm box come up from someone i've never even heard of before in regaurds to modding their ls. i hit ok, and then cancel so it brings it up in the same window. i then lay everything out for them. most of the time pming for a good 45min+. only to have to reread the thread i was responding to in the first place. do i mind it? not one bit. my response to a thread can wait, when someone sends me a pm it normally means 1, theyre online. 2, they need something and can't find the answer so they're asking for help.

most of us, like myself, decided not to renew the membership untill the site regains control of itself... and my membership expired sept of LAST year. i don't have a problem spending $10 for a 500pm box and access to the dungeon. but i want that $10 used to better the site.

If you hate a restaurant, do you keep going in and do you sit there and bash the place out loud? No. you’d be removed.
I am not going to tolerate people coming on my site and trolling like juveniles. Get a life and grow up. Bans for all trolls.
Johnny, I'm going to bring this down to your level of understanding since you used a restaurant. Great choice but flawed thinking in explanation.

You go to a restaurant, and like the food, but not the service, then you complain about the service. Vice versa if food was the issue. People will be more inclined to stay if the service is bad but the food is good. Not the case if things are the opposite.

If complaints aren't heard when presented in a respectful manner, then people will get more vocal. Things will be brought to the public. Waiters and management will be embarrassed, but then things get fixed if the head manager gives a damn. New members are inserted, and the trash gets removed.

From there, if there is still a major discrepancy, people higher than the management start getting involved and things get changed FOR you or you will just be shut down. Reps get ruined and your name in the business is destroyed.

The game is over...

I'm closing in on 4 years being a part of this site. Like others have said, this place has gone through changes, most of which haven't been for the better. Mods have dropped from here left and right, like they were the ones that were sick, instead of the site.

Many of us knew that this place was sub standard over the last year or so by any means. As in the reference you used before, people knew what was happening on here that have been here for a while, but those knowledgable individuals on here were still here and we as a community wanted to learn, so we stayed.

As time went on, either one of two things happened. Either they left because you consistently and gradually restricted the ability to patrol and maintain the site as moderators, or they left because you turned a deaf ear to them when they came to you with suggestions or recommendations.

You chased away almost all of your workforce.

Two or three guys can't maintain order over thousands of members. It's bad when I can stream a video from youtube on my phone faster than this site can load a page. Deals for parts where people are getting cutoff at the knees from members on here that won't pay, even after getting parts. Members that owe others are allowed to maintain their profile on this site.

The worst part, by far, is when you allow these bs tuners to run rampant that have no idea of what they are doing. If you don't know who I'm talking about, then you have no idea of what is going down on YOUR site that you barely pay any attention to. They were here either with your approval or because of your ignorance. Causing peoples cars to blow up after he grenaded his own must be the thing that's in now. Since it's your site, the premi members here are just paying to line your pockets I guess.

Apparently Steddy2112 caught you with your pants down. He took a shot at you from what seemed to be a very opportune time. You took down his sig taking a shot at you, and he took away the foundation of your forum. The information is still there, but people have to wade through too much garbage to find it.

Normally mods help to filter that stuff.

Because of your subpar quality control, and the general clutter of the site when it comes to what matters, you failed yourself and this site. Steddy the jester has axed this site and your base is dwindling.

So the people are leaving. Too bad that's pretty much everyone. The restaurant is closing down.

well im sure about 75 percent of cobalt owners are between the age of 16-21 lots of maturity going on there, i know half of us talking in a thread may make fun of each other or even joke, but the maturity level of allot of the users is really low, worst threads are stories on how a cobalt beat a car and then bam 30+ pages of arguing and such, and allot of people argue over dyno numbers and argue over this tune over this tune sucks.
i mean where all on the same team here but it looks like some cobalt owners just have to b better or faster then the other guy, i vote yes for more mods.
we should b helping our other lnf or lsj brothers beat other cars not beat on each other.
btw is just a forum people get to worked up over stuff on the internet.

I hear ya, mine's gonna expire soon and I don't plan on renewing. I don't even own a cobalt anymore and renewed once after it was gone. Still enjoy getting on because it is one of the most active forums I've seen.

Yet these people will never be made mods. Instead we'll get someone who has 10,000 ***** posts.

i don't see a problem with having a high post count. not just cause i have one but because so what if they were in the ***** thread. or carry long conversations on here. doesn't mean they aren't knowledgeable... sure a lot of people on here just post post post, but there are still some who like to learn and help others. like myself. i may not know much about turbos but i'm slowly learning. but i can sure as hell get you any information and mod suggestions for an sc engine or suspension..

we've tried to warn you. you never listened to your ACTIVE mods back in the day. you were always so busy with your life. the mods sections is a deadzone. nobody posts anymore because we could never get you to reply. i used to be a highly active mod on here but your lack of communication with us for so long just demotivated some of the mods. your lack of trust was also a huge thing. you never wanted to give us just a little more power to maintain the site better.
